"This month's theme of 'Artist Studio Visits' was inspired by Simon Kirk Fine Art's recent blog 'My Studio 2014'. There is nothing more fascinating and nothing gives greater insight into an artist's work than their studio. Simon's is no exception. From a small room at home filled with all he needs (including hairdryer) Simon produces his clever playful collages. My Studio 2014

It's a home studio. The plan chest serves as storage and a work surface. There is another sturdy 7ft x 3ft workbench to the right of this, with wall space to the left and thin shelves on the back wall for finished work before it is varnished for sale. Notice the travel hairdryer - invaluable for drying collage and paint and working fast to keep the momentum and inspiration going.
